What does Vegvísir mean?

Often referred to as the Nordic Compass or way finder ... the Vegvísir has become a symbol of travel and discovery. The official meaning of a Vegvísir, as found in an Icelandic Manuscript, "if this symbol is carried - one will never be lost or loose their way". Travelling with Vegvísir Voyages means you will always have myself to help you every step of the way. I will take care of all of the research and arrangements before you travel so you can journey somewhere new with peace of mind. Let me be your guiding compass through your journey.

What experience do you have?

I like to say that I was bitten by the travel bug before I even made my first international flight. Pouring over old National Geographics, enjoying classic adventure movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Lord of the Rings, and listing to historic accounts of exploration... it was only a matter of time before I had an adventure of my own. 

I first took in the wonders of the ancient world through Greece and Türkiye before moving to both the Emerald Isle and Great Britain. I've had waffles in Belgium, croissants in France, caviar in Russia, and reindeer across Scandinavia. Beyond Europe - I've been to every corner of New Zealand, rode the rails through Japan, and traversed the Nile in Egypt. I also love to travel domestically here in Canada. I have spent winters in the territories, shoulder seasons along the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean coastlines, and taken in festivities from the Calgary Stampede to the Carnival de Québec. 

Professionally; I graduated from Travel and Tourism at the post-secondary level with honours. From there I have worked for luxury hotels, corporate travel arrangements, and global tour operators.
